Have you heard of Sunday Sevens . It’s the brain child of Nat at Threads & Bobbins – take a look – she’ll tell you all about it!
Phew, I managed it for the second week running. Friday, Saturday & Sunday I was working 7 til 7 (days) and was worrying what I could take photos of.
MONDAY
I finally got my hands on the GBSB book from series 3. I called at whsmiths and found it 1/2 price together with the other 3 books … £20.50 for all 4 – bargain!
Also on Monday (I don’t have a photo for this but is happened and I’m excited to share it) I found out that I won February’s project of the month at Croft Mill with my Valentine Dress and won a £30 voucher!! Whoop whoop!
TUESDAY
Tuesday I played golf and came 2nd! I realised an hour before I was setting off my not very clean golf shoes were in the car – cold! They needed warming up before I could wear them. (Hope my hubby doesn’t see this!)
WEDNESDAY
This was 7:20 am. I woke up to a bright sunny day & pegged out for the first time this year!
THURSDAY
I called at my mum in laws. My brother in law & George were there. George fancied his chances with the scones!
FRIDAY
I missed the final of the sewing bee the night before. I was working Friday, but was sent out to stand by (we park up and wait for a call) I parked outside McDonalds and bagged myself some free wifi!
SATURDAY
The crocus are out! This is Savile Park near the hospital in Halifax. This is only a tiny bit of it, there’s loads! They’re stunning but often we’ll get a late snow fall and they’ll be flattened. Fingers crossed we won’t this year.
SUNDAY
The first spring lambs I’ve seen. Aw….. And another….think i spooked them and they ran off.
Reflecting over the past week it’s great to see Spring is just around the corner!
I’m loving the lighter mornings and evenings too 🙂 Congratulations on your win (and two weeks’ running worth of photos), very impressive! 🙂
Thanks, everyone’s in better spirits with the longer days, can’t wait for summer & to be able to go out without a jacket!
I love these round ups of your life! Fascinating reading! 💝
It makes me realise just how crazy busy I am – I’ve always wished I had an 8th day in the week just for me, and now I know why! 😀
Ooooh Spring is coming! I love the picture of GBSB in the ambulance outside McDonalds! Oh the things we do!
And your shoes on the radiator – you’re not the only one to do that 🙂 ahhh I bet they were lovely and toasty after that 😀
Luckily they left my alone and I watched the sewing bee in one sitting – i’d have been cheesed off if I’d have gotten a job just before they announced the winner! 😉
What a fun thing to be able to track you week in photos. I wonder who would even be interested in mine. But, your’s is great. I love seeing the coming of Spring. We are starting to feel a bit of it here in Virginia, US. I love the lambs…
You should join us! You’ve got some great stuff on your blog and I’d love to see more of what you’re up to. As Beth says, sometimes knowing you need to take a picture every day can inspire you to get out and do something new!
We’d all be interested! We all feel like we know each other anyway, and it’s great to see how our “friends” live in other parts of the country and world!
Love your pictures! Especially the dog–I never seem to be fast enough on the draw to catch shots like that.
I was lucky i had my phone at the side of me so could catch it! I must admit we did tease him as I missed if first time.
Blimey, those books were a bargain! I’m supposed to be getting Fashion With Fabrics free with my new subscription to love Sewing magazine but it hasn’t arrived yet. I thought you were watching TV on your iPad whilst driving when I first saw the photo!!!!! No one can resist Spring lambs, can they? We had ours roasted with garlic and rosemary yesterday. Delicious! Apologies for that if you’re vegetarian…..!
I subscribe to that too, I love reading it but haven’t made anything from it yet. I got some free fat quarters with mine. I’m not veggie … think them lambs running off must’ve seen me licking my lips, lol!
Lovely week for you – may this week be even better! Such bargains, such fun, such cute lambies & delicious scones & Spring bulbs – and congrats on your win! Belated happy mothering day, too! xx del
Thanks Del, we’ve been celebrating today cos I was working yesterday. X
Great photos. We have a bank of crocuses just like that one on the way into Wakefield. It’s always the first sign that Spring is on it’s way for me.
Congrats on your award. Isn’t lovely when someone else thinks your work is brill too!
I was really chuffed, I just can’t decide what to spend the voucher on, I feel like a kid in a sweetie shop!
Great photos! Spring is still a ways out for me, as we just got another snow storm last night up in Boston! Ah well.
Oh no! I think there’s still time for us, but finders crossed. Rumour has we’re due a warm spell for easter, best get making some shorts!
What a bargain for all those books! I quite like the Cath Kidston books, I have a few but I haven’t looked at them for a while…I might just get them out now! Well done for continuing to take your photos this week too! 🙂
Thanks, the hardest time for photos is my work days. Today’s for next week has a funny tale to tell, can’t wait to share it! 😀
aww! George is gorgeous!
Smelly but gorgeous!
I love your watching of the sewing bee, can’t beat Iplayer for catching up!
