Today I joined in a fun team comp at the golf club. It might be a fun comp but we still wanted to win!!
There was quite a few tense moments wondering if the putts would drop.
Did it……………
No!
Then in the clubhouse the tension mounted as we waited for Lady Captain to announce the winning team. We came joint first, but ended up 2nd on a count back (golf speak. If the putt would have dropped we’d have won!!

Indeed lots of tense moments! Lovely pictures.
there certainly was! Loving this challenge – at the start of the week I have no idea what i’m going to do but something always springs to mind (so far!!) 🙂
That’s so good to know. Like you, I often have no idea but it makes me look out for things which I enjoy hugely, seeing the world from a slightly different perspective.
Well done. I don’t play golf but I do get quite competitive if I play mini golf 😉
I’ve not played that for ages – we used to take H. H started proper golf before he could talk so when we took him to crazy golf he was the only 3 year old who spent ages lining it up, whilst his cousins used to just whack it! 🙂
What a lovely day weather wise for you all K xXx
It was nearly sun tan lotion weather!! Hopefully Spring will just be round the corner! 🙂
Even in mini-golf there is that moment of tension waiting to see if the ball will drop into the hole. Nice interpretation.
It was even more nerve wracking with there been 3 in the team – normally I’m only bothered if my own drop! 🙂
A clear day for play – great! And congratulations on that joint first! (Sorry about that putt.)
It was a shame – we only won £3 each for second but would have won £7 each if we’d have won! :-0
Drat ~ but better than zero!
Looks like it was nice sunny day for it!
It was fab! It’s only the second time this year I’ve played and I was wondered if I should pack it in, but the bug is still there! 🙂
Great photos and great story!
Thankyou! ⛳️
Excellent representation of tension…..those seconds waiting for a putt to drop (or not) can seem like an eternity!
Quite a few more ‘or nots’ than I’d like these days! As the sewing improves the golf gets worse! 🙂
Only so many hours in a day……sigh.

A very relevant set of images for the word. I don’t play golf but have heard tempers explode in very “friendly” matches
Some do take it far to serious! Although there are a few tense moments at times, I do tend to keep my cool. Probably due to my job and seeing that golf is for fun after all. I’ve nearly walked off with some opponents who do take it all a bit too serious! 🙂
