Whilst out and about today I decided I would find my vintage photo. I actually found 2!
The above feature pic was taken as I was cooling down after my run. There was a young women at the bus top dressed in vintage style clothes. I daren’t ask her for a pic but managed a sneaky one from behind! Β Isn’t the coat gorgeous!?
And next a plant holder at my mum in laws home. It’s actually the toilet from an old Victorian terraced house she used to live in!
Linking in the Wild Daffodils weekly photo challenge!
So cool! Two amazing entries! I love that you set out to find vintage and hey presto! The power of intention – and yes that coat is gooorrrrrrrrrgggggggeous! so is the toilet – not surprised your m-i-l could not leave that behind – behind! HA!!!! see what I did there!
Haha!! Very good!! Reminds me if when I took a patient into Hosp with a problem with her rear end. My colleague said ‘let’s take you in and see if they can get to the bottom of it!’ We daren’t laugh but our shoulders were shaking trying to stifle it! At least I could laugh properly at yours ππππ
Great story! You’ve gotta laff! π
Lovely photos, Ali!
Chuckles on the above comments, too…
Thanks Del! Can’t beat a good chuckle π
π He-he!
Brilliant! Love both of these, although the Victorian toilet wouldn’t go in our 1930s house:(
It looks a bit odd where it is now. Next to the telly!! π
A talking point, no doubt!
HA! Slept a little late, took a shower, got my coffee (hubby made fresh before he left for work), sat down to “play” on computer. This was the first post (and comments) I read. What a great funny way to start the day!
Yay!! Happy Thursday!! π
And to you! π
Love the old toilet but I think I’d have it in a bathroom or even hallway if it were mine. It had to be preserved though. I hope your MIL left the incoming tenants a replacement.
Hehe! She had it swapped when she first moved in that house. At her last house she had a bigger house and had it on the landing. This proved a mistake. After a few beers her eldest grandson used it…..!! At least next to the telly there wouldn’t be any mishaps! π
Oops, I as just trying to correct something and it ‘went’! Not sure what’s been sent now?! π³
That old toilet is fabulous. Great pic!
Thanks! Too nice to sit on!! π
A very decadent toilet planter and gorgeous coat too– nice dart detail.
I noticed the darts too and wondered if they were added later to help with the fit or if they were original?
I wonder… π
Lovely coat – hope you don’t get yourself a reputation with sneaking up on people and taking secret photos.
Haha.. Peeping Tom! That’s me! π

They don’t make them like they used to! Toilets that is. Both fascinating photographs.
Haha, no they don’t! I can’t imagine having something so fancy in my bathroom π
