Sunday Sevens

#SundaySevens 60

I’m being prepared and writing my Sunday Sevens on Friday night with a glass of wine.  I’m all packed up, except for my making bag and setting off to the airport at 5:30 in the morning.  So I’m hoping this scheduling lark will work and it’s Sunday when you’re reading this.

The week started with our first works Golf Day, which also happened to be Captain’s Day.  For some crazy unknown reason I took no photos, which is really stupid as I’m captain so should at least have had one of me presenting the trophy to the winner.

Tuesday was the high light of my week.  Already told you all about it but still worth another mention!

Wednesday before work at 4pm I had my hair “done”!

Bit of a lovely sunset going on Wednesday evening.

I toyed with the idea or shortening some wide leg pants and love the result – hopefully will have a pic of them being worn for you next week.

Had my nails done all sparkly ready for my hols.  It’s a real treat having my finger nail done at we’re not allowed to wear nail polish at work.

We’ve had lots of sunshine this week, and I managed an hour laid out in the garden, and had company.

A slight alteration needed on one of my old favourite golf sports.  Excuse the black underneath – its my cossie, I’d been trying on all my holiday clothes!

Golf clubs cleaned!

Resurrected some lasagne from the freezer with some passata,  After 40 minutes in a hot oven the hubby thought I’d been very busy cooking his favourite tea!

An absolute ***** of a delivery man dropped off our new garden shed.  It’s a good job I wasn’t planning on going anywhere!!  It’s also damaged, we fell out, and I called him a w****r.  I know not very lady like, but I was so mad (and I don’t get mad very often!!)

But now I’m chilled, hubby and H have moved the shed, though he’s told the company they can come back and pick it up on Monday and he wants his money back!  He’s not a happy hubby!!

Swiftly moving on………

………..Sunday Sevens is the brain child of Natalie from Threads and Bobbins. If you’d like to link up with her too you can – it’s easy! Just share 7 ish photo’s from your week that don’t necessarily warrant a blog post of their own.

Cheerio for now x

I sew and play golf. I blog about my sewing as I don't think you'd want to read about my golf. It's bad enough watching it on telly! Contact me via email - Thimbers.blog@gmail.com

Another busy week Ali, I din’t know how you fit it all in but the scheduler did indeed work. Hope you have fun in the sun, I’m contemplating joining you at the Fabberdashery meet up on the 4th if I can wangle a day off if that’s ok.

Ha, I’ve never eaten there but I don’t think it will be as nice as Cafe Passion somehow!

  2. Enjoy your holiday. I wasn’t able to wear nail varnish at work and while I love it have never really got into doing it myself. I now fancy a manicure!

    • I certainly didn’t, and what he was born with I believe may have been below average!! Holiday is fab, wifi at the poolside 🌞😃🌞

  3. Busy week, but then the days before a holiday always are, aren’t they? I think I’m going to like your new pants–alterations aren’t my favorite thing, but I love when they turn something “meh” into something great. Have a wonderful holiday!

  4. Oh crikey, all that hassle and still no shed? Nails done, hair done, clubs cleaned, trousers altered – no wonder a freezer meal was necessary, what a lot to squeeze in before hols. Have a fab time:)

  5. Uh oh! Horrible to hear about the shed, I hope they give you the money back. I love the wide pant legs, too!

  6. Happy holiday Ali! You crammed lots into one week (again) didn’t you? Pretty new sparkly nails, nice new do (almost), nasty delivery man (boohiss), furry friend in the sun, and your post posted on Sunday! Very nice. Hope you are having a most marvelous time. 😀

  7. Hope you’re having a lovely holiday and enjoying those painted nails. I’m always doing something with mine that chips polish or fills them with mud, so never paint them so know how you feel. Sorry to hear about your run-in with the guy about the shed, but good for you having a go at him -he asked for it. Assume you complained about him as well as the broken shed?
