Gosh, this was a really tough one for me. I’d had to go back to 2011 in my photos to find some ‘reflection’ photos. These were taken at Harewood House in North Yorkshire. Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in the area.

Gorgeous photo of the flamingoes. You should enter it into a competition, it’s really good. I used to go to Harewood too, but when my kids were little, quite regularly – they have a great adventure playground. That photo of the heron reminded me how we were watching some baby ducks with their mothers there once, with a crowd of other small kids, when a heron crept over very sneakily and tried to grab one of the baby ducklings right in front of everyone. . I had to move the kids away sharpish They’d have been really upset. The duckling survived I think, thank goodness.
I’ve never seen flamingoes up close, what a treat. Lucky you found that photograph, it is the perfect representation of reflection!
I associate flamingos with Florida, and am always surprised to see them in other climes. Beautiful photos, Ali – thank you!
Perfect photos for the reflection challenge! So lovely. ..
Great picture, love the ‘conversation’ that seems to be going on, beautifully captured.
That flamingo photo’s amazing – I had to look twice to be sure they were real.
