It is Sunday but there’s not 7!  How could there be when it’s almost 3 months since I last wrote a Sunday Sevens post.  So I’ll just get on and try it keep the writing short and snappy.  Make sure you’ve eaten – there are a few food posts and they’re not all Slimming World! Baby Moorhens on the golf golf.  They weren’t very willing subjects when I tried to photograph then, they couldn’t half shift! Stunning sunset one Summers evening at work. Gorgeous meal after a team match at golf.  So healthy, not the usual pie and chips which we often get. It’s a good job Natalie’s Sunday Sevens are free and easy with no hard and fast rules, cos I’d have broken them all by now. I’m thinking for now I’ll post my Sunday Sevens fortnightly rather than weekly, so here’s my last 2 weeks…..   As usual I usually have something with me to do at work.  My main distraction is still this blanket which I also take to cricket.  I usually have a with me too pattern too on the off chance I get to cut it out. This is the canal basin in Elland.  This area was devastated by the Boxing Day Floods in 2015 but now looks amazing, I even have my own car park for when I’m stood by.  Well, it feels like my own as there’s only ever me there! I’ve only gone and missed a whole months blogging, and missed my 100th Sunday Sevens post! So here’s a catch up of what I got up to in June…… You might remember I hit my Slimming World Target at the end of May.  As a result I went through all my clothes, (yes all!!), some went to my sister, some were put into a pile to adjust to fit and some were put back into action! Here’s my favourite ever RTW frock from 9 years ago that I can now wear again!!  I was so excited to finally be able to zip this up!! We’re off the Ripon races towards the end of July and usually I make a new dress but I don’t think I will this year! A night out to see Take That in Sheffield…. an amazing night and more like a show that a concert. Hi Folks! Here we are with another Sunday Sevens Double Bill, and looking back over the last 2 weeks and beyond it’s no wonder I’m not making any new garments!  I still love taking the pics and sharing them with you, and also looking back over my old posts too.  It’s so easy to forget all the good stuff that happens in life so it’s a good way of keep a little photo diary of the little things, and the big things too. The week didn’t start off 2 good.  I fell on the steps in the gym, landing on my side. I managed to keep hold of my purse, water bottle and phone, but hit every step until I landed at the bottom.  the rest of the day (after I went to my intended class!) was spent in my PJs feeling very sore and sorry for myself. Hi Folks! Gosh!  What’s happening to me!  This healthy active lifestyle is certainly getting in the way of me and my sewing machine.  And my blogging.  But behind the scenes I’m still snapping away at the picks and now I’m only ONE pound off my target weight I’m hoping to get back to sewing more, especially as I really need some new clothes. So what’s been happening….. The start of Me Made May meant I needed something me made for golf so found one of the hubby’s golf tops in the charity bag and did a quick refashion….here’s before… Bluebells everywhere at the moment…… These were at the side of the 10th green. I’ve been helping out with the ladies taster sessions at the golf club.  If you’re not far away it’s not too late to have a go.  All free and equipment is provided. I decided totally out of the blue to go for a run.  I’d not run for over a year so I was both surprised and pleased when I did 5K …

Happy Easter from a wet and chilly Yorkshire! Hope your tummy’s aren’t full to bursting from all the chocolate!  This is the first year I’ve not had an Easter Egg of my own, but I admit to helping H out just a little bit when he looked to be struggling with his. On Monday we had a cool, dry start to the week and I managed to get H’s white’s washed and dried so they’re nice and fresh for the start of the cricket season. Tuesday I threw a chunky chilli together and left it simmering in the slow cooker and went to play golf.  And I only went and won the competition! Do you remember the Simplicity 1696 amazing fit trousers I made last year?  Well, they’re now golfing shorts to be worn in Portugal for my holiday this week!  They would be too short to wear at my home club but abroad the dress code is more relaxed. Hello!  These weeks are just flying by,  I can’t believe it’s nearly Easter.   I’m a bit late this week with my Sunday Sevens, I feel any later than Wednesday and I should add it to next week, so here goes before it’s too late!   Monday was a gorgeous start to the week with high temperatures and lots of sunshine.  My favourite stand by point is back open on Gas Works Lane, Elland Bridge.  This has been closed since the Boxing day floods of 2015 when the river behind came right up and over the wall and caused massive devastion in the Calder Valley.   I managed to fit in 3 Body Pump classes this week which really get the heart rate up and help to tone the muscles!  I do other classes too but this is my favourite! Pre-washing some fabric I’m reviewing for Minerva Crafts.  I’ve actually finished my make and the review will be on their site shortly. Lots of colourful primroses bordering the putting green are making me feel like …

Hello! Another busy week, and if I don’t pull my finger out I’ll end up doing a double bill next week, so here we go!  Before I do though, I’ll just mention the ‘feature photo’ – our village has a soft furnishings/curtain shop and I’m just loving the Spring window display! Monday I popped into Leeds for a pre cricket season cricket lunch with a lovely lady who I met through H playing for Yorkshire.  Look at this for a healthy choice in a burger place!!  What is happening to me!? Though I don’t shop for clothes I enjoyed browsing and getting some inspiration for my summer wardrobe. I fell in love with this top/jumper…… And also this dress……… Tuesday it was a gorgeous day (7 degrees!) and I played golf for the first time this year without a wooly hat! A little bit late this week, but hey ho, there’s really no rules for Nat’s Sunday Sevens so I’ll crack without further ado! The first pic of the week when I looked through my phone was of my babylock.  I’ve really no idea why I took this, but I’m adding it here just in case I suddenly remember why and it turns out to be important! Tuesday my new iPhone arrive.  Rory took a liking to the box and sat with me whilst I set up my new phone.  On Wednesday Sue (my out of action due to injury golfing and gym buddy) had her first sewing lesson.  She absolutely loved it and now is the proud owner of a shiny new Janome! #SundaySevens 87 Feat. Fabricate at Roberttown

All this came from just ONE cauliflower!! So I got all super organised and bagged up lots of spare veg for the freezer for those days when I was sewing working and needed a quick meal for the family. What’s in the bag this week!  I took some fabric and card to work to attempt some sticking, glueing and stitching in my break.  I did manage to make a start on my Hexie Caddie for #sewdowndewsbury. Before the weekend I would have struggled to muster up an interesting post.  But thanks to a Fabricate opening only about 3 miles from home things began to look up! I gathered together a few friends – Karen from the Sewing Miserablist, and Sue and 2 more golfing buddies.   It was all a bit surreal, my online friend is now a proper friend and is making friends with my other proper friends!  How good is that!
